TV Booking: a Win-Win-Win

Booking a client is the ultimate end goal for both Guestbooker and all of the contacts they have. If all goes well, booking a client should be a win-win-win for Guestbooker, the client, and the TV network. The key to this is all of the work that Guestbooker puts into choosing the most qualified clients, understanding their goals, training them, and lastly marketing them accurately to the networks. Each client has their own unique point of view and experience base. It is Guestbooker’s job to analyze this and turn it into a selling point for networks. For example, some clients may think they are qualified to speak on a large range of related topics. Guestbooker will analyze their experiences and narrow these topics down to those that the client is an expert on. This way, not only will the client have the best chance of performing well and being asked back onto a network, but the network will also maintain this positive, trusting relationship in Guestbooker for sending them qualified guests.

Additionally, the keys to TV booking are speed and contacts. The quicker you act and the more contacts you can offer networks, the greater the chance is that networks will choose your guest. Guestbooker is so successful in this way because their employees come from the newsrooms. They know that TV bookers and EPs want to have quick, easy access to qualified, relevant guests. Guestbooker has thus created their own unique guest pitch that they use to approach networks in an efficient and effective manner. It was created using their experience in newsrooms and what information producers need and want to know in order to agree to book that guest. They have such a large range of clients that TV bookers are more than eager to accept Guestbooker’s clients and book them on segments. It makes their job easier! As I said, win-win-win!
